How it works. Distances are straight-line (haversine) from the point you enter — deterministic. Catholic (YCDSB) catchment + every YCDSB boundary you see are computed in your browser from the board's real boundary polygons — including the Regular, French Immersion and PACE/enriched program zones, drawn together when a school hosts more than one. Public (YRDSB) catchment comes from the board's own address→school API (needs a civic address). YRDSB publishes no boundary geometry, so its polygons are approximated — traced and georeferenced from the board's official boundary-map PDFs (shown in orange, ~30–150 m accuracy; the API catchment stays authoritative). Fraser ranks are a Jun 2026 snapshot — always confirm with the official board locator.
